WHBA Mission and History

Our Mission: The Winnegamie Home Builders Association (WHBA) is a not-for-profit trade organization, providing resources, services and education about the housing industry to our members and our communities. WHBA promotes attainable, quality housing through industry leadership, ethical business practices and community and government involvement.  


The History: Winnegamie Home Builders Association (WHBA) held our first regular monthly meeting on June 13, 1990 at the Columbus Club. At that time, WHBA applied and received our charter from the National Association of Home Builders on August 31, 1990, and also became affiliated with the Wisconsin Builders Association. WHBA was the first builders association to hold a Parade of Homes the first year organized.


Since 1990, WHBA has appreciated the leadership of the following Presidents:

The Association’s goal is to reconnect and rebuild the area’s home industry. WHBA’s fiscal year stretches from September through August each year. The Board of Directors meetings and General Membership Meetings are held monthly; from September through May.
